MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – A woman was injured late Tuesday night when the car she was driving crashed into a Wendy's restaurant on Merritt Island.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. on State Road 520 at Courtenay Parkway.

Brevard County sheriff's deputies had to break a window to free the woman from the car, which was badly damaged.
The woman was taken to a hospital, but her condition was not known.
It's not known what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle.
The building did not sustain serious damage.
