Engine ripped from car in 2-vehicle Orange County crash

No one seriously injured in crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A violent two-vehicle crash on State Road 417 in Orange County ripped the engine from one of the cars, but neither driver was seriously injured.

The crash, involving a white SUV and a black car, closed S.R. 417 near Berry Dease Road overnight.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The engine of one of the vehicles ended up 50 feet from the crash site.

Officials will investigate whether alcohol played a role in the wreck.

No other details were released.
