OPD holds police training in downtown Orlando


ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Police Department will hold training exercises near the old Amway Arena on Wednesday morning.

The training will be held at Parramore Avenue and Amelia Street at 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

OPD said the training is a Joint Training exercise on critical incidents involving public transportation

The SWAT Team, the Crisis Negotiation Team and the Emergency Services Unit, as well as LYNX will be included.

There will be no street closures expected.
