Deputies say middle school aide planned to meet girl for sex

OCALA, Fla. – Deputies say a teacher's aide at Fort King Middle School in Ocala sent inappropriate text messages to a 15-year-old student.

Marion County Sheriff's deputies say that Christopher Votos, 58, bought the student several gifts during the last year and added that he planned to meet the girl for sex but never did.

The school district believes the incident to be an isolated case.

Votos was released from jail on $5,000 bond.
