Gunman used drive-thru window to rob Burger King, Orange County deputies say

Assailant may have robbed separate store days before

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are searching for a gunman they said robbed a Burger King restaurant late Sunday night.

The robbery happened just after closing at the restaurant on Orange Blossom Trail, near Wetherbee Road.

Deputies said the assailant drove up to the drive-thu window and pulled a gun on a worker.  The gunman then demanded money from the worker, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash before the gunman drove off, investigators said.

Investigators said he was last seen leaving in a white car with a Miami Heat logo on it.

It is unknown if the employee was injured during the the robbery.

Deputies said they are investigating to determine if the culprit was behind a recent robbery at nearby Circle K.
