I-4 reopens in Volusia County after crash

Injuries associated with wreck, FHP says

DELTONA, Fla. – At least two people were injured in a crash that forced officials to close Interstate 4 in Volusia County.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Friday on I-4 eastbound at mile marker 105 near Deltona.  Eastbound traffic was backed up on the St. Johns River Bridge and beyond before reopening hours later.

Details surrounding the wreck have been released.

Video from Local 6 helicopter Sky 6 showed an overturned vehicle on the side of the interstate, with numerous firefighters at the scene. 

Firefighters removed two people from the overturned car and they were taken to a hospital via a medical helicopter that landed on the highway.
