Efrain Lopez charged with robbery, grand theft, drug possession

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A Kissimmee man wrote an apology letter to the clerks he robbed at a Metro PCS store on Sunday afternoon, according to Kissimmee police.

Efrain Lopez, 34, has been charged with robbery with a firearm, grand theft, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia in the Sunday afternoon robbery at the store on Vine Street.

Police said Lopez went to the store just before 2 p.m. Sunday, approached the clerk with his hand in his pocket and said "give me the money." The clerk didn't see a gun but complied and Lopez left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

A K9 unit tracked Lopez to the Flamingo Inn, where he was arrested and taken to Osceola County jail on $2,000 bond.

Police said Lopez cooperated with them and voluntarily wrote an apology letter to the clerks at Metro PCS.
