ORLANDO, Fla. – A 36-year-old Orlando woman was struck by a car and killed late Sunday night in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Orange Avenue near Landstreet Road.

The FHP identified the victim as Laura Ann Miller.
According to troopers, Miller was walking on the west shoulder of Orange Avenue and attempted to cross Landstreet when a vehicle struck her and fled the scene.
Miller was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and died, the FHP said.
Troopers said there were no known witnesses to the crash, which remains under investigation.
