Pedestrian killed in Orange County hit-and-run

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck by two cars and killed Monday night in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said that a 41-year-old Orlando man was attempting to cross Semoran Boulevard near Old Cheney Highway when he was struck by the first car, knocking him into the southbound lane.

A second vehicle struck and killed him, and the driver fled the scene, the FHP said.

Troopers are investigating the fatal crash, hoping to identify the type of car that drove off.
