Sheriff's Office: 'A killer is on the loose'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two men and two women were shot and killed late Thursday night in a Jacksonville home and police said, "A killer is on the loose."

At 10:50 p.m. Thursday, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a call by neighbors who heard multiple gunshots on Randolph Street.

When police arrived, they found four people shot. Three were pronounced dead at the scene; the fourth was transported to UF Health Jacksonville, where she later died.

The victims' names were not released.

Detectives are canvassing the area looking for information.

"We want any witnesses, anyone who may have heard someone talk about something, like they were going to do something, please contact police," said JSO spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda.
