FHP investigates fatal wreck in Osceola County
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Two people were killed in a crash on Florida's Turnpike in Osceola County on Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers said the accident happened in Kenansville around 1:05 p.m. after a car that was driving south, lost control, hit the guardrail and overturned into the northbound lanes of the Turnpike.
Both the driver, 49-year-old Kathi Davis of Keensaw, Georgia, and Elsie Watkins, 87, of Acworth, Georgia, were ejected from the car. Davis died on scene and Watkins was taken to a local hospital, where she died.
The crash is still under investigation, troopers said.
