Girl armed self with bow and arrow, confronted trespasser, Volusia deputies say
Woman charged with trespassing
OAK HILL, Fla. – A 14-year-old girl armed herself with a bow and arrow after a woman entered her Volusia County home, according to deputies.
Volusia deputies said Marcia Watson, 54, rang the doorbell of a home on Flamingo Drive at 5:30 a.m. Saturday. The teen, who thought it was her mother, unlocked the door and turned off the alarm system, deputies said.
When she didn't recognize the female voice, the teen armed herself with a bow and arrow and confronted Watson, who apologized, refused to leave and asked for a glass of water, deputies said.
The teen called her mother, who reported the incident to authorities. Meanwhile, Watson poured herself a glass of Pepsi and went into the master bedroom, deputies said.
When deputies arrived, Watson apologized and talked about picking flowers and drinking alcoholic beverages, according to the report.
Watson was taken to the Volusia County Jail on misdemeanor trespassing charges.
