Blown tire blamed for deadly crash in Groveland

Two killed after van lost control

GROVELAND, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol says a blown tire on a van caused a deadly crash in Groveland Monday night that killed two people.

Troopers say the van's 37-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on State Road 50 when the van had a tire separation. The driver veered off into the shoulder but then over-corrected and traveled into the westbound lanes. Troopers say the van then collided with two pickup trucks heading westbound.
