ORLANDO, Fla. – The state has rested in the trial for the gunman accused of opening fire in a downtown Orlando architectural firm, killing one person and hurting five others.

Jason Rodriguez, 44,  is accused of storming Reynolds, Smith and Hills inside the Gateway Center in 2009 to seek revenge on being fired from the company.

Jurors were shown autopsy photos of the victim on Tuesday morning. Last week, they heard emotional testimony from Rodriguez's former co-workers, who were inside of the building at the time of the shooting.

If convicted, Rodriguez faces up to life in prison. The defense has asked the jury to find Rodriguez not guilty by reason of insanity.

Judge Belvin Perry, who is known for his involvement the Casey Anthony trial, is presiding over Rodriguez's trial.
