Deputies: Man accused of stealing $700 in jewelry, clothes at Kohl's

Deputies say shoplifter told workers he had gun

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County robbery investigators are trying to identify a man who they say shoplifted more than $700 in jewelry and clothes from Kohl's on Alafaya Trail, near Waterford Lakes.

According to sheriff's officials, when the store's loss prevention officers approached the suspected thief, the man told the employees he had a gun.

The workers did not actually see a weapon, but the threat gave the man time to escape with the stolen goods.

Authorities said the man drove away in a black Honda Civic.

Sheriff's officials described the thief as a white man who is 6 feet 1 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 200 to 225 pounds, and has brown hair and tattoos on his forearm.
