Girl struck in Orlando drive-by shooting

15-year-old taken to hospital

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 15-year-old girl was struck by a bullet in drive-by shooting in Orlando, according to deputies.

The shooting happened around 12:40 p.m. Saturday at 4106 Robbins Avenue, near North Lane.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies said several people, including the girl, were standing outside the home when a car drove by.  Shots were fired and the teen was struck, deputies said.

The girl was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was expected to be OK.

No one else was injured.

It marks the sixth shooting of a teenager in the Pine Hills area in three weeks.

Deputies continue to investigate the shooting, but no other details have been released.
