LONGWOOD, Fla. – Another bear and her two cubs were trapped on Monday in the Longwood neighborhood where a woman was mauled by a bear last week, according to Florida Fish Wildlife Conservation Commission.
FWC said the adult female bear and her two cubs have been taken to a rehab facility where they will be housed temporarily. The FWC said it will continue efforts to capture the bear's third cub.

Trapping has been suspended in the neighborhood, as "target bears are typically captured within the first four days of trapping efforts," according to FWC.
Cameras will be put up in the area so biologists can continue to monitor the area.
"The FWC will continue to work with this community and our partners to continue to vigilantly monitor the neighborhood and, if needed, resume trapping efforts," said Nick Wiley, executive director of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The latest bear trapping comes after a 200-pound male bear was caught and euthanized Sunday night. FWC said that bear "closely fits the description" of the animal that was involved in the mauling of 54-year-old Susan Chalfant.
Chalfant was attacked by a bear while walking two small dogs on the night of Dec. 2. She suffered facial injuries and was hospitalized. Local 6 has learned Chalfant is at home but still recovering from serious facial wounds.
A bear cub that was also captured last week was found to not fit the description of the bear involved in Chalfant's attack and is being housed at a Crystal River rehabilitation center, according to FWC. FWC said the bear remains in captivity and is doing well.
