Reward offered in Sanford Army-Navy store break-in

Culprits used bolt cutters, tried to steal guns

SANFORD, Fla. – Police are offering a reward to help find the men who broke into Al's Army Navy Store in Sanford.

Investigators say the men used a crow bar and bolt cutters Monday morning to get into the store, which is located on South French Avenue.

The men tried to steal handguns and a semi-automatic rifle, but dropped them when they heard officers arriving, police said.

Police are encouraging anyone with information to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.  A $1,000 reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest.
