ORLANDO, Fla. – A 42-year-old blind man was arrested after, according to Orange County sheriff's deputies, he punched a girl in the face and bit her ear during a violent outburst.
David Castrofelipe was arrested Tuesday on child abuse charges.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Castrofelipe became angry after he asked someone in the home to translate a phone message from a bill collector, but that individual gave him "attitude."
The victim, whose age was not released by deputies, said she was awakened by Castrofelipe yelling and told him to calm down, the Sheriff's Office said.
Castrofelipe then charged at the victim, according to deputies, who said he eventually grabbed her before punching her in the back, stomach and face. He also bit the girl's ear, according to deputies.
The girl said she wasn't seriously injured and didn't want to press charges because she didn't want the individual whom Castrofelipe was originally yelling at to go to jail.
Castrofelipe was arrested and taken to jail, and the Florida Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.
