Power restored near UCF

2,500 Duke Energy customers affected

ORLANDO, Fla. – More than 2,500 Duke Energy customers near the University of Central Florida were without power for about 90 minutes Thursday morning.

The outage was first reported around 8:10 a.m., and power was restored around 9:30 a.m.

Duke Energy's website said there were three outage locations.  The cause of the outage was not immediately known.

UCF said the campus was not affected by the outage.
