Teen walking to Orange County school bus stop robbed at gunpoint

Deputies search for assailants

ORLANDO, Fla. – A teen was robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning while walking to his school bus stop in Orange County, deputies said.

The University High School student was robbed around 6:20 a.m. at Cheshunt Drive and Custer Circle near Dean Road and University Boulevard in Orlando.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the teen said he was walking to his bus stop when a red vehicle stopped and at least two men approached him.

One of the culprits had a gun and demanded the teen's personal belongings, deputies said.

After taking the teen's cellphone, the assailants drove off, deputies said.

No one was injured.

A detailed description of the robbers and their vehicle was not released by authorities.
