Cause of death undetermined
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Volusia County Beach Patrol says a dolphin was found stranded on the shore of Ormond Beach on Friday morning.
Marine Mammal Health and Stranding team responded to the report just after 8 a.m.
The dolphin, which was about 6 feet in length, died about two hours later, officials said.
Testing will be done to determine what caused the dolphin's death.
The death comes on the heels of a deadly virus that has been going around the dolphin population.
