According to Orlando police, the woman was walking to her car in the Publix parking lot when a heavy-set man jumped out of a nearby vehicle and ran up to her.

The man pointed a black handgun to the woman's chest and said, "Give me your pocketbook," according to police, who added that the man then ripped the woman's purse from her shoulder and ran back to his car.

The man got into the passenger's seat and another man drove off in the getaway car, police said.

The woman then drove home, got her husband and returned to the store to call police.

The woman said her purse held her wallet, driver's license and bank cards.

She described the assailant as a black man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 250 pounds.  He was wearing a brown hat, white T-shirt and blue jeans.

A witness at a nearby bus stop said the culprits drove off in a silver Chevrolet that was missing its left rear hubcap.
