Man sought after shooting ex-girlfriend, Orange County deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Authorities are searching for the man they say shot his ex-girlfriend on Friday morning.

Orange County deputies said the woman went to 28th Street and Rio Grande Avenue to talk about some issues with her ex-boyfriend, when at some point, he opened fire and struck the woman at least once.

The woman drove away from the shooting to her house. Deputies say the woman was rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospital by her mother. The woman was then transferred to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Local 6 was there as deputies investigated the car involved in shooting, which was driven by the victim's mother to the hospital. The car appears to have bullet holes in it.

The extent of the woman's injuries was not clear, but deputies say she is in stable condition.

No other details were immediately available.
