Highs to reach near 90 in Central Florida

Rain chances off and on all week in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – Temperatures will heat to near 90 degrees Monday afternoon in Central Florida.

Orlando's high will be 88 degrees, with partly cloudy skies and a 20 percent chance of rain.

"Most showers will be along coastal counties like Brevard, Volusia and Flagler," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "A new front moves in through the day on Tuesday, bringing a 60 percent coverage of rain by the afternoon."

High temperatures will reach 86 degrees Tuesday afternoon in the Orlando area.

"Rain chances stick around all week into Saturday at 30 percent after Tuesday," said Bridges, adding that high temperatures will stay in the mid-80s.

As of now, the forecast for Easter shows little chance of rain and a high of 87.
