Investigators search for man who opened fire in parking lot

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two men were shot Monday night around 7:23 p.m. in the parking lot of a RaceTrac at 500 North Kirkman Road after deputies say an alleged drug deal went wrong.

According to officials, the two victims went to the RaceTrac to meet another man for a drug deal, when the shooter walked up to the victims and demanded money. When the two men refused to give up their money, the shooter opened fire before running away on foot.

Officials are now looking for the shooter who they are describing as a black man who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a large gold chain around his neck.

Both victims were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Their conditions are unknown.
