13-year-old OK after being shot in arm at South Daytona home

SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. – The parents of a 13-year-old boy who accidentally shot his friend were arrested Thursday in South Daytona.

Jeremy and Hollie Hardy were arrested on charges of negligence.

Investigators say the Hardys were at a race at Daytona International Speedway in February when their son got hold of a loaded rifle from his parents' room and accidentally shot another 13-year-old in the arm while showing off the gun.

The teen who was shot was not seriously wounded.
