Semi carrying orange juice crashes in Groveland

Intersection closed after wreck


GROVELAND, Fla. – A tractor-trailer carrying orange juice flipped over onto power lines on Monday afternoon, closing a Groveland intersection and trapping the driver, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred just after 5 p.m. at the intersection County Road 33 and Austin Merritt Road.

The driver was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he is expected to be OK.

County Road 33 reopened after crews cleaned up the orange juice that spilled onto the roadway.
