SUV crashes into living room of Pine Hills home

3 taken to hospital, Florida Highway Patrol says

PINE HILLS, Fla. – A sport utility vehicle crashed into a Pine Hills home Tuesday afternoon, injuring at least three people, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver, a passenger and a woman were taken to hospitals after the crash, which occurred around 1:15 p.m. in the 6300 block of Laurelwood Court, the FHP said.

The Toyota 4Runner, which troopers said may have been trying to avoid another vehicle, ended up in the living room of the house.

Everyone inside of the home ran outside as fast as they could, worried it might collapse.

The FHP said six people were inside the home. A 90-year-old grandmother, who was struck by debris, was taken to the hospital.

It's not clear if the family will be able to live in the home anyone and family members are sifting through the remains of their living room.

Troopers haven't said if the driver will be charged.
