Man sought in pharmacy break-in, drug theft, Volusia cops say

Video shows man stealing narcotics, then leaving

DELTONA, Fla. – Volusia County deputies are searching for the burglar they say broke into Deltona Pharmacy and stole drugs on Sunday night.

The owner of Deltona Pharmacy went to work at 8:45 a.m. Monday to find the front glass door had been smashed and narcotics were stolen, according to a news release.

The break-in occurred at 11 p.m. Sunday while the business was closed. The store, located at 776 Deltona Blvd., was locked up at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Surveillance video shows a man with his face covered, wearing a blue plaid long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. He immediately went to the narcotics cabinet, and left shortly after with a duffel bag.

VCSO said it was not releasing the surveillance video as of Tuesday morning.
