ORLANDO, Fla. – A gunman is suspected of robbing a hotel in the Orlando tourist district and brandishing a gun in another.

The first robbery happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday at the Quality Inn at 5635 Windhover Drive near Universal Orlando.

According to Orlando police, a gunman wearing a bandana over his face and a boonie hat entered the hotel and demanded money before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police released a photo showing the culprit pointing a gun at the hotel clerk, who had his arms raised in the air.

Meanwhile, a gunman believed to be the same man entered the Orlando Metropolitan Inn at 6323 International Drive about three hours later.

Police said the man walked into the lobby while carrying a handgun but decided to leave when others entered the lobby.  No money was taken in the incident.

Orlando police said the assailant's description was very similar to the culprit in the earlier robbery.

No injuries were reported in either robbery.

An investigation is ongoing.
