Jennifer Fichter charged with 10 more counts of unlawful sex activity with minor


POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Polk County teacher accused of having sex with students faces new charges, according to documents released Thursday.

Jennifer Fichter, 29, was charged with 10 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor in a third case in Polk County, as she already faces nearly two dozen unlawful sex with a minor charges.

Fichter was arrested in April on charges in separate cases in Polk and Hillsborough counties. Authorities said in April they were still interviewing a third possible victim.

According to the report released on Thursday, the incidents occurred between August 2012 to December 2012 with a victim 16 or 17 years of age.

Fichter also taught in Orange County and resigned while under investigation into inappropriate contact with students.

Fichter's first appearance is expected to be Thursday afternoon.
