ORLANDO, Fla. – South Orange Avenue will be closed through the second week of August for roadway construction.

City of Orlando officials report South Orange Avenue will be closed between Anderson Street and South Street from Saturday through Aug. 10.
The right turn lane on eastbound South Street on to southbound Orange Avenue from Boone Avenue will also be closed.
According to the city of Orlando website, the road closure will help the construction of improved crosswalks and increased audible pedestrian signals.
The roadway will also be realigned to add a dedicated right turn lane that will tie into the upcoming Ultimate I-4 expansion project, city officials said.
