Teen shot in back at Ocoee house party

Orange County deputies search for 2 men in shooting

OCOEE, Fla. – An 18-year-old was shot at a house party in Ocoee after the host asked two people to leave, according to deputies.

The shooting occurred at a home on Park Highland Drive near Good Homes Road, just north of West Colonial Drive.

The teen, identified as Christian Hurst, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, two people were invited to the party by someone who was already at the home.  The host, however, didn't know the pair and asked them to leave, deputies said.

One of the two fired shots into the ceiling of the home and continued shooting as guests ran for cover, according to deputies, who said that's when Hurst was shot.

Joshua Wilson, 19, says he never expected his house party to turn into a crime scene.

"Ceiling, wall, everywhere -- there are bullets all over my damn house," Wilson said.  "He just started busting caps all around my house."

Wilson told Local 6 that he thinks 15 shots were fired.

"It was terrifying.  A lot of shots were fired, a full clip. They shot my house as they left and they kept shooting."

"It's supposed to be a good time and someone shows up with guns, and shoots randomly and now one of my friends is in the hospital," a partygoer said.  "That's not right.  That's not right."

Deputies continue to search for the men who fled the party in a vehicle.  They were only described as being about 20 years old.
