'Real feel' temperatures near 105 in Orlando; More rain in forecast
Tropical depression 2 weakens, expected to dissipate
ORLANDO, Fla. – Humid air in place Wednesday afternoon will lead to more storms as the atmosphere heats up to what will feel like 105 degrees.
"Heavy rain will be the greatest concern as storms move slowly across Central Florida," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Some areas could see up to 4 inches of rain that lasts into the early evening."
The coverage of rain will be 50 percent of the region, mainly from 2 to 4 p.m., Bridges said.
The afternoon high temperature in Orlando will be 93 degrees, but it will feel like 103 before the heaviest rain comes.
Rain chances will be at 40 percent as drier air works in for Thursday.
There will be a 50 percent coverage of rain from Friday into the weekend, with high temperatures in the low and mid-90s.
Tropical depression 2 is weakening as it moves closer to the Lesser Antilles. It will likely fall apart Thursday morning south of Puerto Rico.
