Gunman robbed $100 from Family Dollar, Orlando cops say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police are searching for the armed robber they say stole $100 from a Family Dollar over the weekend.

Police said the man, wearing a black ski mask, walked into the store on West Gore Street just before 11 p.m. on Saturday with what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded the clerk open the safe.

The clerk said she couldn't open the safe because it was on a time delay, according to police.

The man then took $100 in cash from the register and ran out of the store, police said.

The man was described as a black male 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing black pants, shortsleeved black shirt turned inside out and black shoes, according to police. The man was described as weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
