ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – A 52-year-old Rockledge man was charged with first-degree premeditated murder in connection to the death of his wife, according to deputies.

David Brevick made a frantic 911 call around 11:30 p.m. Friday, saying two men had come into his home and were choking his wife, but the sheriff's office said he made the whole thing up.
"Don't do this. You guys are crazy. What is wrong with you," Brevick said in the 911 call.
When Brevard County sheriff's deputies went to 7030 Heron's Landing Drive, they found the home locked and secure, despite being told there were intruders inside.
"I don't know these guys," Brevick told the 911 operator.
"Did they break-in, or what happened," replied the operator.
"I don't know. They're her friends, I guess," Brevick said.
Brevick's wife, 56-year-old Francia Vargas-Brevick was found unresponsive, lying on the couple's bedroom floor when deputies arrived, officials said. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Investigators said based on the autopsy and interviews, they were able to charge Brevick with his wife's murder.
"In this case, the evidence showed us that he was the person responsible for the death. He was the only person that had been in the house and caused the injuries," said Maj. Tod Goodyear with the sheriff's office.
Brevick denied being the one who killed his wife, according to deputies. He's being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.
