Deltona convenience store robbed at gunpoint

Crime marks 4th Deltona robbery in 10 days; Serial robber suspected

DELTONA, Fla. – Deputies are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store in Deltona on Tuesday night -- the fourth in the city in a matter of 10 days.

Deputies said they believe the same person may be responsible for all four robberies.

Deputies were called Tuesday night to a Circle K store on Howland Boulevard, just 2 miles from the first three robberies. Similarly to the three prior robberies, deputies said that while the clerk didn't see a gun, surveillance video shows the suspect was holding a gun.

Even though deputies arrived within four minutes of Tuesday night's call, their search for the robber through K-9 units and helicopter came up empty handed.

Deputies describe the man as Hispanic, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing dark-colored pants, a black, hooded sweatshirt and a mask or bandana over his face.

It's unclear how much money the robber got away with.

Anyone with any information on the identity or whereabouts of the robber is asked to call 888-277-TIPS.
