The new discovery includes text messages and a recording of Shawn Thomas asking a confidential informant to help him murder an entire family.

"How long have you been thinking about this?" asked the informant.

"A little over 10 years," answered Thomas.

Investigators said Thomas is persuading the informant to pose with him as a film producer, so when the aspiring young actress and her parents showed up to an abandoned home, he'd have help killing the mom and dad before raping and murdering the girl.

"I don't want to go through life and not do it, at least once...but at the same time, I know doing it at least once makes it much, much easier to do it again," said Thomas.

The weekend before he was arrested, investigators said, Thomas lured a 9-year-old and her dad and grandfather to a vacant home in Longwood, saying on Craigslist he was a student making a film.

However they left after seeing no camera and a plastic sheet covering the floor, according to investigators.

"I first told them my camera guy was running late, and they basically just wanted, like they looked around the house or whatever, they wanted to wait in their car, listen to music until the camera guy got there, which obviously there wasn't a camera guy," said Thomas.

Thomas is being held without bond at the Seminole County Jail.

His next court date is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 17.
