23-12

UMATILLA, Fla. – Mount Dora's Von Davis already has college football coaches paying attention to his game.  Friday night, the nation took notice.

Davis caught the ball on the sideline and immediately broke toward the middle of the field.  But as the Bulldog defenders surrounded him, he weaved his way through to daylight, going right, then left, and finally straight ahead into the end zone.

Not only was the highlight from Sky 6 the Local 6 Play of the Night, the touchdown made ESPN's Sports Center Top 10 Plays.

Davis has been offered scholarships by the likes of Wisconsin, Louisville, Cincinnati and Arizona, but no local schools as of yet.

The senior did not work alone against Umatilla.  Running back Willie Smith had a nice run for a touchdown early in the ballgame.

The Hurricanes are now 2-0.  They go to Leesburg next Friday night.  The Yellow Jackets are also unbeaten after two games.

The Bulldogs fall to 1-1.  They are home to Tavares next Friday night.
