Suspected car burglar caught on video, Palm Bay police say


PALM BAY, Fla. – Palm Bay police are searching for the car burglar who was caught on a resident's security video last month.

Palm Bay police have released still images of the man, hoping the public can identify the culprit, Local 6 news partner Florida Today reports.

Nine burglaries were reported in an area between Emerson Drive and American Boulevard in northeast Palm Bay during overnight hours from Aug. 21 to 29.

The suspect, who entered unlocked cars and stole cash, a cell phone, wallet and a GPS device, was seen on a bicycle and described as 6-foot tall, thin and in his mid 20s, according to police.

Anyone with information about the suspect can contact Central Florida Crimeline, 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and eligible for rewards up to $1,000.
