KISSIMMEE, Fla. – After two years of waiting, the leader of American Front will face trial this week in Osceola County.
Marcus Faella, the head of the white-supremacist group, faces charges of training his followers to start a race war in 2012, as well as weapons charges.
Jury selection began Tuesday morning at the Osceola County Courthouse.
Faella and 13 other American Front members were arrested by the FBI in 2012, accused of training militarily on a compound in rural Osceola County, east of St. Cloud.
The FBI discovered assault-style weapons and turned the case over to Osceola County for unknown reasons.
Charges against 10 of the American Front members were dropped, and State Attorney Jeff Ashton said he would reveal why after Faella's court proceedings were completed.
