Armed robberies in Orange County likely connected

No one injured in 3 separate robberies

ORLANDO, Fla. – Gunmen robbed three Orange County gas stations early Wednesday morning, and law enforcement officials believe at least two are connected.

The first robbery happened at Circle K, which is located at 4680 N. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando.  Two others happened miles away in south Orange County.  One at Hess Express, located at 12253 S. Orange Blossom Trail.  The other at 7-Eleven, located at 2948 Camomile Drive.

Police released surveillance photos of the Circle K robbery, which occurred around 1 a.m.  According to police, two masked men walked into the convenience store and went straight toward the clerk.  One of the men held the clerk at gunpoint while the other emptied a cash register into a backpack, police said.

The duo ran off after the robbery and likely got into a waiting car, police said.

No one was injured.

Meanwhile, Orange County deputies said two assailants pointed a gun at a clerk's head in one of the other robberies.

Deputies said Wednesday morning's robberies are not connected to a string of convenience store robberies that happened in July and August.  An arrest has been made in those cases, deputies said.
