ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – A Brevard County grand jury issued a first–degree premeditated murder indictment against David Glen Brevick, accusing him in the August killing of his wife, Francia Vargas-Brevick.
Brevick called 911 on August 8 and said his wife was being attacked at their home at Herons Landing Drive in Rockledge.
The 56-year-old woman was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where she died on August 10. Brevard deputies arrested Brevick on a charge of first-degree premeditated murder.
The grand jury heard testimony from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office case agent and crime scene investigator, Brevard County medical examiner and an independent forensic pathologist before returning the indictment.
Brevick remains in the Brevard County Jail, where he is being held without bail and is scheduled for a first appearance on the indictment Wednesday.
