"We're tracking more off and on rain across Central Florida," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "A weak boundary, an area of low pressure in Georgia and lots of low level moisture will lead to light rain in the morning and heavy rain and storms into the afternoon."

The coverage of rain is at 70 percent of the region, Bridges said.

"Some storms will be strong, with wind gusts and heavy rain that could add up to 3 inches on area roads for the afternoon drive home," he said.  "There will also be the chance for some funnel clouds along the Intracoastal Waterway."

Rain is forecast into the weekend in the Orlando area.

There will be a 70 percent chance for rain for Wednesday and a 60 percent chance for Thursday,

Rain chances will be at 50 percent from Friday into the weekend.
