DeLAND, Fla. – A customer at Walgreens took down a woman suspected of shoplifting and robbery until DeLand police arrived, according to authorities.
Police said the robbery was reported at the store on East New York Avenue in DeLand.
Shanna Ferring waited for the clerk to open the cash drawer and then grabbed the money, according to police.
On the surveillance video, Ferring is running out the door when a customer comes up and grabs her, knocks her over and holds her down until police arrive.
Ferring was charged with robbery by sudden snatching and was booked into jail on $1,500 bond.
