Flagler County deputy attacked, bitten by dog
No charges filed against dog's owner
BUNNELL, Fla. – An off-duty Flagler County sheriff's commander is recovering after he was bitten by a dog in Bunnell.
Cmdr. Stephen Cole said he was running Monday night on Matanzas Woods Parkway when a large black dog named Scar ran and attacked him.
Cole said the dog jumped on him and bit him twice.
The man walking the dog was able to provide current rabies and vaccination records.
Flagler County Animal Control was notified about the attack but no charges have been filed against the dog's owner.
