Flagler County deputy shoots dog with Taser

Dog euthanized after biting man, being Tased twice, cops say

PALM COAST, Fla. – A dog was put down after biting a man and being Tased by Flagler County deputies.

The dog, who had bitten three people, was hit twice with the Taser on Tuesday at a home in Palm Coast, according to deputies.

Deputies said the owners of the dog called 911 to report the dog bites and family members had locked themselves in the bathroom.

The deputy said when he fired the Taser, the dog was actively biting a man's arm. The man was able to get away when the Taser was deployed.

Once Animal Control arrived, officers were able to contain the dog. The dog was later euthanized per procedures.
