WINTER PARK, Fla. – A woman was robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night near Park Avenue in Winter Park, according to police.
The robbery happened on New England Avenue while she was walking alone, police said.
According to investigators, two men stole the woman's purse and phone before driving off in a gray car that had a loud muffler. The woman was not injured.
A short time later, Orange County deputies were called to an armed robbery about 3 miles away on University Boulevard near Goldenrod Road. Officials said the vehicle and suspects' description were similar.
