While officers were arriving at the store, 27-year-old Ezekiel Tuggerson was taken to Munroe Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, according to police.

Store surveillance video shows two men getting out of a Ford vehicle and entering the store to make a purchase, while a third man stayed inside the car.

As the two men were leaving the store, a silver Chevrolet vehicle and a white Dodge vehicle pulled into the parking lot and five other men got out of the vehicles. Police said one of the five men was Tuggerson.

A confrontation then ensued between all of the men, which escalated into a physical fight. Police said one of the men who had entered the store then took out a handgun and fired multiple shots at the men.

The men left the scene in their vehicles, with Tuggerson driven from the store, police said.

Following the shooting, police learned 49-year-old Benson Kinney and one of his relatives had been involved in the altercation, with Kinney identified as the shooter in the incident, according to Ocala police.

An arrest warrant was then issued for Kinney on a shooting into an occupied dwelling charge.

Kinney was apprehended Saturday and was taken to the Alachua County Jail.
